Skylar is a highly active dog that likes running, playing, and having fun. Olivia, her fur mom, instilled a love of the seaside and hiking. The two have an excellent relationship; spending time with them is always a pleasure.
However, a sad catastrophe occurred one morning that no one could have predicted. Skylar was struck by a car, causing damage to her spinal cord. As a result, she had spinal surgery to recuperate rapidly. Olivia and Skylar were both devastated by the tragedy, with Olivia believing Skylar had just a 50 percent chance of walking again.
Olivia was horrified by the occurrence, but she knew that Skylar's recovery and ability to walk again rested heavily on her. Day after day, she anticipated her dog's recovery. Despite her despair at times, Olivia never loses faith in Skylar's ability to walk again. It's difficult for her to see Skylar in bed and no longer have fun, but she believes Skylar can heal with the correct amount of time, support, and dedication.
Skylar's recovery took a long time, but her mother and support group were there. Every day, they guide and coach Skylar to the best of their abilities, and Skylar advances. They gave her a unique wheelchair to restore her walking ability while not limiting her independence as an enthusiastic dog. Skylar initially found it difficult, but she grew used to it, and Olivia was delighted to see her puppy walking again with the device's assistance.
Skylar began walking without assistance six months after her operation. Skylar's initial steps were shaky, but she could run and walk again with continuous practice and perseverance. Finally, Skylar can do what she used to do now that it has been almost a year since the tragedy. And, if the experience was any consolation, it strengthened Skylar and Olivia's friendship even more.
