Evans wrote in his Instagram caption, “This is when I first met Dodger. I was in Savannah filming a movie, and one of the scenes took place in a shelter. I had no plans to rescue a dog that day, but the moment I saw him, I knew he would be part of my life.”
The actor also encouraged his fans to adopt a dog to commemorate National Rescue Dog Day. “There are so many dogs at shelters who are in desperate need of a home and ready to provide love,” he wrote. So visit a shelter and take a best friend with you.”
