A Schnauzer mix pup named Maddie had been missing for about three years. The Koster family, the pup’s owners, loved their pup so much and refused to accept that she was gone. Hoping their pup would come back home to them one day, the family refused to adopt another pup.
Rachel’s mom phoned her and told her that she knew where the pup was. At first, the family was skeptical, but they soon realized that the pup they were told about was really Maddie. Maddie is alive!
Gayle Tebon, a volunteer at a non-profit organization called the Forgotten Pet Advocates, found Maddie on the streets of Sugar Land, Texas. She picked Maddie up and brought her to a veterinary clinic. Gayle found out that Maddie had a microchip, but it lacked her family’s current info.
Gayle didn’t want to leave the pup without a family, so she went ahead and posted the pup’s photo on Facebook. She even approached Lost Dogs of Texas, an organization that helps find lost dogs and reunite them with their families. Marylin Litt, a staff member at Lost Dogs of Texas, was able to get more information about Maddie’s family and contacted them.
Thanks to Gayle and Marylin’s efforts, the pup is finally in Rachel’s arms. The Kosters are very thankful to everyone who helped Maddie get back home. Rachel said that she will take every opportunity to make up for the lost time with her pup.
