Weslie and Enes came across a stray puppy on the side of the road in Cappadocia, Turkey, and decided to approach the poor creature. Despite having blue spray paint all over his body, the pup was surprisingly calm and docile.
According to Weslie, Blue, the puppy, was wagging his tail and seemed delighted to be shown affection. Enes went inside the car to get his travel towel, wrapped Blue in it, and let him sleep in his arms while Weslie drove them back to their hotel.
Weslie bathed Blue as soon as they arrived in their hotel room, and the exhausted pup sat in the tub the entire time. Blue fell asleep for a couple of hours after the warm bath, but he awoke at 2 a.m. with a high fever.
Weslie and Enes drove Blue to the nearest 24-hour animal clinic to examine him because he was whimpering in pain. Weslie remembered the vet telling him that he might have died if they hadn’t picked up Blue that night.
Blue was admitted to the hospital for ten days to recover and be vaccinated. Weslie revealed that they had picked up Blue after nearly two weeks, and she was thrilled that he had made a full recovery.
Blue began to show his personality and, eventually, came to life due to the ordeal he had to endure. Weslie admitted that he and Enes were gradually falling in love, but they knew they couldn’t keep him because they were full-time travelers.
Blue deserved routine and stability, so Weslie decided to share Blue’s story on Instagram, hoping that one of their followers would adopt him. Blue was eventually adopted by a group of friends who also had a 1-year-old golden retriever.
